Labor already stands for something. Something huge. Something it once described as the greatest moral challenge of our time.  It stands for saving the planet with a massive transformation of our economy through a carbon tax and huge transfer payments. It’s hard to imagine any bigger political and social program.

Glad to see this spelt out clearly. If Abbott wins the election next year, and the Senate refuses to pass his legislation repealing the carbon tax, he will not hesitate to call a double dissolution.

So the current boat that is leaking oil in the bay should not have to pay any compensation. That is what Andrew Bolt would say, because it is like the polluting of the atmosphere by large factories. No Carbon tax = no compensation from oil spills.
